UPGRADE PACKAGES

UTE CAMPERS:  There are two upgrade packages available being the Extreme 600 and Extreme 900.  Apart from various inclusions such as the Ekrano GX Touchscreen for camper monitoring, auto cooling, dual-colour LED strip lighting, tie-down hardware and fitment, these packages are designed to extend your off grid capability with more battery and inverter power.  The Extreme 600 upgrade (600 being in reference to 2 x 300Ah Victron NG Batteries), gives you the ability to store more.  However, the big difference with the Extreme 900 upgrade package apart from 3 x 300AH Victron batteries is the inverter is upgraded to the 5000W model – Victron Multiplus II 12/5000/220.  What does this mean?  With the 5000W inverter, you can run all of your 230V AC (i.e. higher power consumption) appliances simultaneously.  So your inverter air conditioner can be running inside while you are cooking with the 2000W induction cooktop outside with your electric hot water system running for when your ready to take a hot shower.  With the Extreme 600 package, there is no 5000W inverter upgrade and with the 3000W inverter, you can usually run 2 out of 3 appliances for a limited time.  If you are power savvy, the Extreme 600 is sufficient but the Extreme 900 will give you both more capacity, capability and peace of mind.  If you are ordering the Extreme 900 upgrade package, given you are increasing storage capacity, we highly recommend pairing this with the Boost & Backup Solar upgrade because it will greatly augment with your recharge capability off grid.

TRUCK CAMPERS:  There are two upgrade packages available being the Extreme 900 and Extreme 1200.  Apart from various inclusions such as the Ekrano GX Touchscreen for camper monitoring, auto cooling, dual-colour LED strip lighting, tie-down hardware and fitment, these packages are designed to extend your off grid capability with more battery and inverter power.  The Extreme 900 and 1200 upgrades (900/1200 being in reference to 3/4 x 300Ah Victron NG Batteries), gives you the ability to store more power and the inverter is upgraded to the 5000W model – Victron Multiplus II 12/5000/220. If you do not choose either upgrade package, with the standard 3000W inverter, you can usually run 2 out of 3 appliances for a limited time.  If you are power savvy, you may be okay with that but with either the Extreme 900 or 1200 upgrade, you gain more capacity, capability and peace of mind.  If you are ordering either the Extreme 900 or 1200 upgrade, given you are increasing storage capacity, we highly recommend pairing this with the Boost & Backup Solar upgrade because it will greatly augment your recharge capability off grid.

SMART OPTIONS

ALL-ELECTRIC ASSIST:  You can make life very easy for yourself with the All-Electric Assist option that includes Electric X-Type Roof Lift Actuators, Electric Lift Camper Legs (w/remote), Electric Central Locking (w/remote) and an Electric Cassette awning from Awnlux.  You an literally open the roof and awning at the same time with the push of two buttons inside the entry.  You can raise or lower the 4 electric legs and unlock all 5 (ute) or 7 (truck) whale locks simultaneously using your remote controls.  So whether its opening, closing, raising, lowering, deploying, retracting, locking or unlocking, this option is a must have because it saves you considerable time and effort moving from site to site. Given all the wiring and installation, this convenient option must be selected at the time of order.  NOTE: It is highly costly and time consuming to retrofit even one of these options after the camper is constructed.

BOOST & BACKUP SOLAR:  You can expand your camper solar with an additional 600W in our deployable ‘Boost & Backup’ solar systems.  If your rooftop solar is fully operational, you will simply be adding additional charge into your camper batteries.  In the event of failure or damage to the primary rooftop solar system, your deployable system will still operate to provide charge via its own dedicated MPPT and connected to the Ekrano GX for monitoring.  Furthermore, the system has 2 pole PV isolation on the incoming side as well as Mega Fusing on the battery side and is all wired to an external weatherproof Anderson Plug.  So, all you do is plug and play after deployment which only takes 30 seconds.  Given all the wiring, fusing, isolation, installation and programming, this optional upgrade is best to be done at the time of order.  NOTE: You must have selected at least the Extreme 900 (900Ah Battery) upgrade for the additional 600W of Deployable Solar.

COMPOSTING TOILET: You can upgrade from the Dometic RV 972 or 976 Chemical toilets to the Trelino EVO Compositing Toilet and avoid emptying your camper toilet as often.  This award-winning German designed and made toilet with soft close lid, is not only more comfortable and stylish, its also better for you and the environment.  The Trelino EVO toilet separates liquids from solids and into separate tanks.  By separating the liquids out of the solids tank and composting your solids, you will get more time between needing to empty the tanks.  With the solids tank, you add a natural compositing agent which is a highly absorbent to absorb the moisture and reduce odour.  Rolls of biodegradable tank liners that make disposal easier and environmentally friendly are available.  For cleaning, there is no water required and we recommend a natural spray cleaner such as vinegar to avoid the use of harsh chemicals.  This option is purchased directly from Trelino as they have all the accessories as well as size and colour choices.  Both the small (S) and Medium (M) EVO will fit inside the existing toilet compartment.  To Order visit https://www.trelino.com/en-au/collections/evo

REMOTE SUPPORT: Our eFUSIONBlue system can be monitored and troubleshooted remotely with access via the Victron Ekrano GX device.  If you purchase this option, we will ensure your system is all setup on the Victron Remote Management (VRM) Portal against your Camper Serial Number.  NOTE:  You will need mobile Internet Access for this to work.  Otherwise, if you are Off Grid completely, then we suggest Starlink for Internet Access which can be plugged in to the Camper’s powered external Anderson Plug.

RUBBER PROTECTION: When its time to mate the camper to the tray, we can install a light weight fine ribbed rubber barrier between tray and camper – this prohibits sliding and protects both tray & camper.  We also affix a thicker rubber strip between front of camper and headboard.  Again, this acts as a protective cushioning barrier between camper & headboard.  There is a cost associated with this addtional service due to the cost of the material.  This option can be selected at the time of order.

DOUBLE SEAL: The outback dust is made of a fine, dry powdery particle called bulldust.  This can ingress into your camper and by double sealing all the lift up external camper doors, it makes if much harder for this red dust to get inside.  If you can see yourself going over outback bulldust roads, then this option must be selected at the time of order.

POWERED ANDERSON PLUG: This option can be highly beneficial, especially if you are intending to run Starlink or an external Creek Pull Pump.  This option includes an external Anderson Plug with weather proof shroud to prevent water and dust ingress.  It is also 20A fused and wired to the camper’s 12V system with a switch to enable / disable on the LED switch panels.  This option must be selected at the time of order.

SPARE SET OF MEGA FUSES: Mega Fuses are high current fuses, vital to the protection, isolation and safety of the electronics in your camper.  Basically every single item and circuit on the camper is fused which is designed to prevent complete system failure.  If only one item fails, it doesnt prevent the operation of other items which is crucial for Off The Grid Campers.  However, in the event of failure, with the Victron Batteries and Load Distributors in our campers, a light will illumate showing the failure.  This indicates a fault and the fuse needing to be replaced.  If you are Off The Grid and needing a spare fuse, thats going to be a problem unless you have a spare.  This set provides one spare in each size used.  We highly recommend selecting this option at the time of order.

SPARE SET OF VENT FILTERS: The camper vents are strategically placed on our campers as they are crucial to the operation and longevity of the camper electronics.  As such, they restrict water ingress whilst allowing airflow, whether the camper is stationery or in the airstream.  As well as moisture, we prevent dust ingress with fine filters.  These are very different to filters on your air conditioner or vacuum cleaner which can be cleaned and put back in.  These are insufficient for outback dust.  This is why our fine dust inside all air vents are like a car air filter or lawn mower air filter that prevent dust ingress.  However, they do need to be replaced over time or airflow will be restricted.  So we highly recommend selecting this option at the time of order.

LEADS & HOSES: To plug into the grid at a powered park site, you will require a 15A rated Electrical Lead (Orange colour) with larger earth Pin for safety.  To plug into a 10A residential socket however, you require a 15A to 10A adaptor with inline RCD with all connections inside an IP rated housing.  We also supply you with a drinking grade hose to use to refill your camper fresh water tank, not a garden hose!  Additionally, a Grey Water Outlet hose is required so you can drain greywater away from the camper.  If you require these leads and hoses, please select this option at the time of order.

OTG LED PADS: To give you legs more stability and ground contact, we can supply a set of custom sized and OTG Branded Leg Stabalisation Pads.  Please select this option at the time of order.

OTG MUD FLAPS: If you would like us to replace your mud flaps with awesome branded Off The Grid Campers mud flaps for either your ute or truck, we offer this at cost price and no labour is charged.  Please select this option at the time of order.

GVM UPGRADE

GVM UPGRADE: Even though our slide on campers are designed to be lightweight and strong, for Utes especially, you need to have an engineered Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) upgrade to allow for the additional payload and rear axle load.  Given that fuel, water, commodities, cargo, tray, bulbar, winch, spare tyre, accessories, towing and passengers all add to the weight on your suspension, it is imperative that you have the appropriate GVM upgrade done.  You don’t want to be driving around close to or exceeding your limits for safety, compliance and insurance reasons.  These upgrades are best done, by companies which specialise in suspension and GVM upgrades, not just general 4X4 outlets that install generic GVM upgrade kits.  The difference between GVM upgrades can be considerable and this is due to some companies doing very little whereas others have a fully engineered product that includes shock absorbers, coil springs, leaf springs, bushes, control arms, chassis bracing, diff-housing bracing etc.  Depending on your vehicle and GVM requirement, it could also include braking, steering components, wheel and tyres.

RECOMMENDATION:  For your vehicle specific GVM upgrade, we highly recommend DMW Industries above all others at this time and they have an Australia wide network.  Depending on your vehicle, they usually have either ‘Option 1’ or ‘Option 2’.  Where ‘Option 2’ is available, we strongly recommend choosing this option despite the additional cost, as it will give you higher payload and axle rating that you will mostly require travelling throughout Australia.  Visit https://dmwindustries.com.au/

TYRES, SPARES & ACCESSORIES

TYRES: Off-roading and increased payload puts alot more stress on your wheels and tyres than regular on-road driving.  So, the right set of off-road 4WD tyres are cruicial for safety and performance for many reasons.  Firstly, traction going over off-road terrains can be loose (think mud or sand) or uneven (think rocks or logs).  Good off-road tyres have agressive tread patterns with deeper lugs that bite into the surface and grip better.  Secondly, durability of off-road tyres is far superior when it comes to rocks, sticks and other hazards that can puncture or damage a regular tyre.  Off-road tyres are built with tougher sidewalls and thicker rubber to resist these hazards.  Thirdly, they are self-cleaning with deep treads that help evacuate mud that can clog up the tyre and reduce traction.  Knowing this, you need to seriously consider upgrading to either an All-Terrian or Mud-Terrain off-road tyre, depending on whether you are doing light or heavy off-roading.  When you are getting you GVM upgrade quoted, this is something you need to talk to the suspension experts about.

SPARES:  You can definitely mount two spares without impacting on camper storage space or its functionality.  One spare is always mounted under tray at the rear.  The second spare can be mounted to the towbar using the Tyre Trek Swing Away.  See https://www.tyretrek.com.au/

OTHER ACCESSORIES: There are many accessories for your vehicle when it comes to off-roading and we highly recommend you consider a bullbar, snorkle, recovery kit, winch as well as a reversing camera and extended mirrors.  All this can typically be arranged through the same supplier of your GVM upgrade.  If not, there are many 4WD part and accessory suppliers around such a ARB and TJM.

TRAYS & TIE-DOWNS

TRAYS: For Ute or Truck tray modifications, new trays, custom trays, under tray storage, trundle draws for leg storage, under tray gas bottle storage and chassis+tray extensions – this work is required to be performed by a professional fabrication/engineering workshop.  In doing so, you will end up with a safer, more practical rig on your vehicle and sized perfectly for your camper.  We highly recommend going with aluminium trays as they are strong, lighter weight, rust resistant and generally deal better with rigours of off-roading.  See our tray sizing guide below for ideal compatability with our camper range.

HEIGHT: Be careful of your tray being mounted too high on the chassis for multiple reasons.  Firstly, you generally want the tray as low as possible to keep the weight and vertical centre of gravity low in order to improve off road stability.  Secondly, if you leave the camper on the vehicle which most people do, you need to be able to use the external kitchen so keeping the tray lower gives you a better operational height, particularly if you are not taking the camper off.  However, customers still need to ensure the tray height is not too low such that the camper cannot clear the vehicle cabin roof (applies to Ute campers only).  Ute Camper clearance height from its base to the underside of the over-cab section is 950mm + 3MM for the protective tray rubber.

TRAY DIMENSIONS:
Dual-Cab Ute Camper requires 1760mm* (L) x 1850mm# (W)
Extra-Cab Ute Camper requires 2110mm* (L) x 1850mm# (W)
Single-Cab Ute Camper requires 2510mm* (L) x 1850mm# (W)
Dual-Cab Truck Camper requires 3510mm* (L) x 2100mm# (W)
Dual-Cab XL Truck Camper requires 4210mm* (L) x 2100mm# (W)
Single-Cab Truck Camper requires 4210mm* (L) x 2100mm# (W)

*Length required is after the headboard (i.e. internal)
# width is edge-to-edge (no tray lip)

Tray Sizing Guide  | Download

TRAY MOUNTS:
For truck camper customers purchasing either a dual-cab or single-cab camper and due to its length, you must have a knetic subframe with spring loaded tray mounts installed correctly.  This allows the tray to then float independent of the chassis and avoid the transfer of torsion forces (twisting / rotating) between the two and into camper’s subframe.  With a knetic subframe installed, your truck will be able to better articulate over uneven terrain, without damaging the truck or the camper.  All offroad trucks and larger expedition vehicles must have this system installed.  We recommend 4 pairs (sets) for dual-cab under trays and 5 pairs (sets) under single-cab trays.  For spacing, come in 700mm from the front and 700mm from the rear for positioning of the first 2 sets.  Then space evenly every 700mm in between.  This closely matches the weight distribution and centre of mass of both campers.

TIE-DOWNS:
For our Tie-Down system, ensure your tray is correctly sized and has provision for us to mount the under-tray load-rated tie-down eye-bolts in M12 (Ute) or M16 (Truck).  The tie-down hardware between the camper and vehicle includes brackets, adaptors and turnbuckles.  These parts as well as fitting are included in all upgrade packages.

Tie-Down System  | Download

Internal Tie-Downs:  If you are not taking your slide on camper on or off the tray, yes it can be bolted-down through the camper and into the tray or tray rails which are more structural.  This then negates the need for external tie-down hardware.  However, we do not provide drawings for this because it is camper and tray dependent.  You will need to use correctly sized and positioned bolts, nuts or nutserts and large washers either side to ensure you have sufficient FOS.

DC WIRING

DC WIRING: Whilst our slide on campers include the DC to DC charger and internal wiring, you will need to arrange the DC wiring from your vehicle battery to the headboard.  Your vehicle side wiring must also be fused close to the battery/alternator side.  If the vehicle battery is 12V, a 70A fuse is recommended and for 24V batteries, 40A is recommended.  We fuse the house side which is between the MPPT and Distributor / Batteries.  The wiring size is 13mm2 / 6B&S – this size allows for both voltage drop and resistance due to cable length, continuous high current (50A) and heat from the engine bay.  Please factor this in before you ask the question, does it really need to be that size?  Yes, for the above reasons.  This cable should then terminate with a high quality 50A Anderson Plug behind the vehicle cabin and on the driver’s side – this is the shortest distance to get to the Camper DC Charging receptacle which is also located on the drivers side.  If the Auto Electrician can leave approx 1m of excess cable to be able to reach up and to the camper Anderson Plug.  NOTE:- DC wiring is not an included nor a service that should be undertaken by anyone other than a licensed auto electrician.

FITTING & HANDOVER

FITTING: Once your tray size, under tray tie-down points, vehicle DC wiring, suspension upgrade, wheels and accessories are fitted to your vehicle then it is time to schedule camper fitting.  We do not advise nor take reasonsibility for those who skip suspension upgrades or expect to drive away non-complaint or with obvious safety issues.  We want you to drive away compliant and with confidence so you can start your adventures having peace of mind.  We are firm with this as we have seen other business allowing customers to drive away non-compliant, overloaded, incorrectly sized and just generally ill equipped.   Please ensure you have read through the DC wiring, Suspension, Tyres, Trays & Tie-downs sections first.  At the time of order, you will have acknowledged this so please make sure you have done it.  Please also ensure you have insurance arranged for your camper through your vehicle insurer or For Slide On Camper Insurance, we recommend CIL.  You are not required to registered your Slide On Camper in Queensland nor in any other State or Territory as far as we know.

HANDOVER
: After the camper is fitted to your vehicle, we will call you back in to run through all the operational aspects and features of the camper.  Please ensure you have Bluetooth enabled and the Victron Connect App installed on your mobile phone.  If you are wanting us to setup Starkink for you, please bring the dish in with you and we will hook it into the Victron Ekrano GX for remote monitoring of the Camper.  Alternatively, we can create a wireless hotspot through your mobile phone to link to the Ekrano.  You will be supplied with all manuals, keys, remotes and accessories as well as paperwork including our QA & Fitting Checklist and electrical compliance certificate.  Once you set off on your way, we recommend a local camp site on the Fraser Coast for a couple of nights.  Not only is this a lovely location but during this time, get to know your camper and if you do experience any operational difficulties, we are just up the road.  This is a prudent step before setting off on your Off The Grid adventures.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM & MAINTENANCE

ELECTRICAL SAFETY: We use Powersafe RCD DUDO devices standard on all our campers. This combines an ESD (Earth Sensing Device with a 2 Pole RCBO to sense and trip in the instance of voltage on the earth circuit.  This means that when your camper is not plugged in to the grid and operating of battery and inverter power which is isolated, you still have 230V electrical safety.  This device ensures our campers comply with new electrical safety legislation that came into effect in November 2023.  The PowerSafe RCD is used where there is no MEN link or where there is high earth impedence.  Given our campers are mobile, off the grid capable and powered from an isolated supply, this device must be used.  We also have 2 Pole GPOs and 2 Pole MCBs that isolate downstream 230v loads for additional safety.  Furthermore, in the unlikely event of electrical fault downstream, the entire electrical system is not disable.  Our main electrical equipment is housed in a vented enclosure that is external to the living areas of the camper – also now a regulatory and common sense requirement.  Furthermore, we use the highest quality automotive cabling and fuses – all in the correct sizing for our advanced system.  With regard to the external kitchen, there are no gas appliances needing to be plumbed through the camper, adding further safety and you can monitor Victron electrical equipment and levels, via Bluetooth and the Victron Connect App on your phone/tablet/laptop or from the Victron Ekrano GX touchscreen on the camper itself.  We have also installed a Heat Alarm (Fire), temperature sensors, vents with dust proof filters and a Maglev fan extractors that turns on/off automatically as required.  Furthermore, we include a Photoelectric Smoke Alarm and Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarm inside the camper.  Finally, there is a ABE Fire Extinguisher suitable for nearly all types of fires including electrical.  If there is a fat fire due to cooking oils, there is a fire blanket as well.

NOTE: We highly recommend you read about the electrical system, its test and compliance, as well as the requirement for ongoing maintenance to ensure continued compliance and safety – not just of the camper equipment but also its occupants.

SOLAR PANELS
: It is important to keep your camper solar panels clean as not only dust and dirt from your travels can impact their performance but it can also trap heat inside.  This is due to the fact that when energy is absorbed but not converted, it turns to heat and combined with an extremely hot day, it can result in damage to the solar cells.  This is known as ‘hot spot effect’ and is where the heat cannot dissipate due to the layer of dust or dirt that has accumulated in those areas.

VENTS & AIR FILTERS: Whilst your vents come fitted with air filters, these air filters need to be cleaned and or replaced periodically for optimal ventilation, free of dust ingress.  This is particularly important with the electrical bay and kitchen vents to ensure satisfactory airflow and ventilation.

ENSURING A SAFE MAINS SUPPLY

Before plugging your camper in to a Mains Supply (220V-240V), consider the type of source and test whether its safe first.  Without doing so, you are risking your life and camper equipment.  This precaution applies to powered park sites (15A), residential / house supply outlets (10A) or any location where you intend to connect to the grid for recharging as well as Generator supply.  Before connecting your camper to a Mains Supply, you must first confirm that both the power source is RCD-protected (as required by law) and the wiring polarity is correct. This includes all intervening extension leads.  We provide all customers with an RCD and polarity testing device including the operating manual.  Always use this device to check the power source before plugging in, especially when connecting to an unfamiliar supply or one you haven’t previously verified.  You can also use this tester within the camper itself to check all GPOs and RCD Duo Safety Switch in the camper.

SAFE LEG OPERATION

SAFE LEG OPERATION:  The slide on camper is designed not to protrude over the edge of the tray and so the legs are removeable to avoid fouling or getting snagged during transit.  The leg brackets are also utilised to tie down the camper to your vehicle when travelling with our heavy duty leg bracket adaptors.  You can read more on this in the Fitting & Suspension section.  Additionally, when the camper is deployed on its legs, the upgrade kit includes 4 x anti-slip rubber levelling pads to shore up your footings.  These pads play a vital role in not only stabalising your camper but preventing it from sinking into softer ground.  They also reduce or eliminate camper vibration when walking around inside when the camper is deployed on its legs. Please be aware of the maximum leg load weights if your camper is fully loaded:-

Single Leg Load: 900KG
Four Leg Load: 2250KG
Single Leg Weight: 20KG

If you are going to deploy your camper onto its legs, please read this important safety message first:-

FUEL STORAGE

GAS: Our Slide On Campers are not fitted with gas appliances and do not have gas connections or plumbing internally.  Gas is also not required for any water heating or cooking as our Camper is all electric.  That said, you can still take a gas BBQ with you, just store the gas bottle securely under tray and if it is an undertray compartment, it will need to be sealed and vented at the lowest point in accordance with gas regulations.  You should in fact use a Licensed Gas Fitter for the installation and certification of your gas bottle and its storage compartment.    We do not accept any liability for customers circumventing gas regulations and common sense – gas bottles must be kept well away from an ignition source as well.

DIESEL HEATER:  Works by burning diesel fuel to heat the air, which is then circulated throughout the camper cabin.  Our campers are fitted with the Airtronic diesel heater and separate external fuel tank which is rear-mounted and has several advantages.  Firstly, keeping the fuel tank outside of the main living area reduces the risk of fuel odors and spills inside the camper. This also helps with safety, as it minimises the amount of flammable liquid stored within the vehicle’s cabin. Secondly, placing the tank at the rear makes it easily accessible for refilling.  Here are some key points to consider when refilling the tank:

Use the correct fuel: Ensure you are using clean, high-quality diesel fuel. Using contaminated or incorrect fuel can damage the heater and void your warranty.

Avoid spills: Spilled diesel fuel can create a slippery and dangerous mess. It can also damage the camper’s paint and other materials. Use a funnel to minimise the risk of spills.

Static electricity: Static electricity can ignite fuel vapors. To prevent this, always ground yourself before refueling by touching a metal part of the camper.

Ventilation: Refuel in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fuel vapors.

Check for leaks: After refilling, check the tank and fuel lines for any signs of leaks. A leak can be a fire hazard.

Secure the cap: Make sure the fuel cap is tightly secured after refilling to prevent leaks and spills while the camper is in motion.

CO ALARM: Your camper is fitted with a Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm. This is an essential safety device designed to detect the presence of the highly toxic, colourless, and odourless gas, carbon monoxide. The alarm is battery-operated and features a digital display that provides continuous monitoring of CO levels and displays the highest concentration measured since the last reset (Peak Level Memory). It is a crucial supplement to your smoke alarm as it is specifically designed to detect CO from sources such as gas appliances, diesel heaters, or your vehicle engine or exhaust fumes.  If the alarm sounds, indicating a dangerous level of CO, you must immediately take action to ventilate the camper and identify the source of the CO leak.

CUSTOM / MODS / ACCESSORIES

We build the camper including available website upgrades and options only.  Everything else including personal customisations, personal modifications and personal choice accessories, we do NOT fit.  This is since it affects 7 plans with every change.  This creates production delays to all customers, increases costs and would by necessity change your deposit terms to non-refundable.  However, to avoid all this, get a quote from a local contractor(s) on what you are wanting fitted or modified, once you have your camper.

DRY / TARE MASS

The Dry mass or TARE weight is the weight of the camper built standard and net of upgrades and options.  This weight does not include cargo, PC items, water and other commodities such as food, additional weight associated with electrical upgrades, the electric awning and the electric legs as they are removed for transit.  However, Dry mass does include the standard fit out including solar, air conditioning, standard mattress and sofa, flooring and standard electrical equipment before upgrades and options.

NOTE: It is outside the Company’s control what additional weight the Customer adds as load to their vehicle, whether within or attached to the Camper or vehicle.  Therefore, consideration must be given to the total mass and ensuring the vehicle has a sufficient Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) to permit the total weight / mass that is added.  Trays, passengers, fuel, water, bullbars, winches, towbars, cargo etc, all increase the weight upon the vehicle’s suspension, not just the dry mass of the camper itself.  All weights should therefore be considered when calculating the GVM and if insufficient, what GVM upgrade would be required to be sufficient, including a safety margin to ensure the vehicle is not at its limits or closely approaching its limits.

CONVERSIONS

For Landcruiser 200 & 300 Series conversion customers, we are looking at prototype camper(s) in 2026 to cater to this market.  If you are interested, please make an enquiry with us and we’ll keep your details on file.

USA TRUCKS

For USA/Amercian truck owners (i.e RAM, Chevy, Ford etc), this is something we are looking at down the track but do not have any immediate prototype(s) in production.  If we do introduce them into our range, they will be flat bed only and not a tub version.  We only do flat bed versions because you are far better off given the additional space and functionality.  Also with tub campers, they are more top heave so they dont adhere to our strict design requirements for serious Off Roading.  Tub versions are not uniform in height and have reduced stability with tray overhang.  If in time we were to introduce a USA tray back camper, it would be low profile, aerodymanic, super stable and able to be secured correctly for safer off roading.

LANDCRUISER OWNERS

If you own a Toyota Landcruiser, you have higher cab and or headboard clearance requirements.  As our ute campers have clearance of 950mm to 955mm from the base to the underside of the over-cab bed.  We have a number of ways to make fitting work on a Landcruiser without modifying the camper itself.  However, please check your clearance dimensions and talk to us about the available options before fitting is scheduled.  Some of the options include increasing the tray height, creating a base frame or riser or trimming down the headboard assuming there is sufficient cabin clearence.

STYLE SIDE UTES

If you have a Style Side ute, rather than getting a tiny camper and having it hang over the tailgate which is unsafe, we can recommend one of our preferred fabricators to remove and provide you a new stylish flat deck tray with undertray toolboxes and trundle drawer.  You will be so much happier with a full-sized slide-on camper with additional storage and better secured camper to your ute.  This is the best way to get Off The Grid!  Style Side Campers better suit the wider American Pickup trucks.

MANUFACTURE

Base Manufacture: We use an Aluminium-Magnesium Alloy for our almost the entire structural body of our Campers.  This is due to its superior properties and high vibration tolerance.  Furthermore, our laser cut camper panels and sections are fully welded and then powder coated – they are not just glued and bolted panels onto a box frame.  This method of construction and finish is far superior, allowing us to meet if not exceed all our performance requirements.   Aluminium is also high strength, lower weight, corrosion resistant, workable and flexible so as not to split or crack like fibreglass or timber.  It is little wonder that high performance craft and vessels such as racing boats, sports cars or aircraft are made from variations of this base metal.  Fibreglass also tends to degrade over time if continuously exposed to the environment which presents a pollution issue as they break up releasing microplastics into the natural environment.  With consumers preferring more environmentally conscious options nowadays, more manufacturers are switching to alloys.

Design & Materials: We are an Australian company with our own registered unique slide on camper designs. All our camper components and materials come from Australia, Asia, USA and Europe, particularly the high-end electronics, whether its cooking appliances, heating & cooling systems, power storage and distribution – we pride ourselves on fitting only the best brands.  This ensures our campers are fit for purpose, reliable and can fully operate off road and especially off the grid.

Quality Assurance (QA): An Electrical Compliance Certificate and Customer Checklist will be completed before commissioning.  Everything is QA tested before your slide on camper leaves our workshop.  You will also see our builder’s plates attached, along with the Camper ID so you know your camper is a genuine Off The Grid Camper.

Stock: For in-stock campers that are fully completed or awaiting eFusionBlue (Electrical System) installation, full payment is required to secure. Once invoiced, PAYMENT IS REQUIRED WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS or you risk cancellation.  Once cleared, you’ll then receive the Camper Serial Number and a photo of the Builders Plate affixed to your camper.  We will then look at scheduling you in for fitting to your vehicle.

Balance: Balance of payment is required within 5 business days from notification to the customer that the goods are completed or nearing completion.  Pickup or fitting will only be confirmed once payment is received in full and funds are cleared.

Timeframes: We do not guarantee completion timeframes. OUR TIMEFRAMES ARE AN ESTIMATE ONLY AND SUBJECT TO DELAYS.  THE CLOSER THE CAMPER IS TO COMPLETION, THE MORE ACCURATE THE TIMEFRAME.  ONCE COMPLETED AND FULL PAYMENT MADE, FITTING WILL BE SCHEDULED.

Title: The Goods shall remain property of the Company until cleared funds are received in full (i.e. a zero balance) including any extras or variations to the original order.

Risk: Risk associated with the Goods passes to the Customer immediately upon pickup or handover of the Goods including how the Goods / load is secured to the customer’s vehicle and how that vehicle is operated with the Goods / Load attached – that is the driver’s responsibility by law.  If the Customer arranges collection of the Goods by a freight/transport agent, risk is accepted for the Goods by the Customer or the Customer’s agent once loading of the Goods commence.  If the Company arranges the freight/transport on behalf of the customer and with the Customer making payment for same, risk for the Goods is assumed by the Customer and or the Customer’s freight/transport agent once loading of the Goods commence.  The Company assumes no responsibility for damage during transit as that is between the Customer and their freight/transport agent, even if arranged by the Company as it is deemed to be done so on the Customers behalf. Customers are responsible for having the Goods insured before pickup or departure from the Company premises and for unloading and or fitting of the Goods.

Cancellation: If notification of stock readiness has been sent to the customer and the balance of payment is not made within five (5) business days from said notification, the Company will issue a final payment reminder with a further five (5) business days after which the Company is at liberty to cancel the order and the full deposit without further notice.

For any order cancellations by the Company or the Customer after the deposit has been paid and due to change of mind, production delay or non-payment of the balance, twenty-five-percent (25%) of the invoiced amount will be deducted from the deposit held with the balance of the deposit returned to the Customer within thirty (30) days due to allow time for stock reallocation.

NOTE: Do not place an order if you are undecided or think there is a good possibility of cancellation.

Force Majeure: In recognition that unforeseen and extraordinary events can occur, the company will not be held liable for its inability to fulfill a customer’s order or purchase order if such an event is beyond its reasonable control and makes performance impossible or highly improbable, even after accounting for significant delays. In these situations, the company retains the right to cancel the order. The customer will be promptly notified in writing of any such cancellation, and a full refund of their deposit will be processed within thirty (30) days. It is mutually agreed that this refund constitutes the complete and final remedy for the customer in the event of cancellation under this clause, and no additional remedy, payment, or compensation will be provided.

Gas: Whilst you can store a gas BBQ in the camper storage compartent, our Campers are intentionally not fitted with any gas applicances, gas plumbing or gas connections for safety reasons.  We do not advise storage or transport of gas bottles (LPG or Butane) within the camper or camper storage compartments, even if they fit and are secured.  Gas bottles needed for BBQs should be stored and secured externally to the camper with adequate ventilation and strictly in accordance with Gas Regulations.  This can be safely achieved by using a small gas bottle secured and vented correctly in an undertray comparment.  We do not accept any liability for customers circumventing gas regulations and common sense – gas bottles must be kept well away from an ignition source as well.

Modifications: If unauthorised modifications are made to the camper that pose a structural, electrical or plumbing risk, your warranty is void, nor will the Company accept any responsibility or liability for damage to people or property caused as a result.  Should you choose to wrap your camper or modify the external body colour, you must first seek approval from the Company, as well as ensure all signwritten camper logos are replaced or reinstated afterwards in the same original location and size.

Suspension (GVM) & Load:  The Dry mass or TARE weight is the weight of the camper built standard and net of upgrades and options. It is outside the Company’s control what additional weight the Customer adds as load to their vehicle, whether within or attached to the Camper or vehicle. There are also insurance and safety implications if you are over your approved weight limits.   By law, the driver is responsible for the weight of their payload as well as securing their payload(s) so the Company will not be held liable.

Finance: For finance orders, stock is either not allocated or the build process commenced until notification of approval from the financier is received.

Quotes: Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.

ACCC: According to Australian Consumer Law (ACL), customers/consumers are not entitled to a refund if they change their mind and in other circumstances.  The following extract is taken directly from the ACCC website:-

Consumers are not entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the consumer guarantees if:

  • they got what they asked for but simply changed their mind, found the product cheaper somewhere else, or decided they didn’t like the purchase or had no use for it. However, if a business has a ‘change of mind’ policy, they must follow it.
  • the problem with the product was caused by the consumer misusing it.
  • they knew of or were made aware of the problem with the product before they bought it (but they may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for a different problem with the product that wasn’t made clear to them before they bought it).
  • asked for a service to be done in a certain way against the advice of the business.
  • the problem with a service was caused by the actions of someone other than the business.

          WARRANTY & RETURNS

General Warranty: 5 Years Structural Warranty and 2 Years General Warranty applies to the Goods.  Appliance and equipment (supplied) warranty is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions.  Warranty claims must be submitted via our website for assessment with photos, description of fault or claim, proof and date of purchase.  The Company needs to be notified within five (5) business days of discovering the fault/defect in the Goods and should not knowingly continue to use the Goods or Part(s).

          Limitations:
Warranty is strictly Return-to-Base unless its a simple replacement part which can be shipped to your location for fitting by an authorised person or yourself, if qualified to do so.  Any costs of Goods or part(s) being returned to the Company premises or to the Customer is at the Customer’s expense unless agreed to by the Company.  Work performed on the Goods must be done so by the Company or an authorised Company representative with the written approval of the Company and at the customer’s expense.  It is at the Company’s discretion whether to repair or replace the faulty parts if warranty work is carried out.  Before a warranty claim is approved, it must be fully inspected first by the Company or inspected by an authorised representative of the Company.  The Customer shall allow a reasonable time for the warranty claim to be assessed and if required for the work to be performed.

          Exclusions:
Warranty does not apply to ordinary wear and tear items that have been used thoroughly until damaged.  Nor does the warranty apply from improper use, use contrary to Company instructions or guides, modification, tampering or removal of build plate, accident damage or damage due to weather or insurable events, damage as a result of insufficient GVM or suspension, incorrect tyres, incorrect vehicle mounting, missing or insufficient knetic subframe or spring load tray mounts, incorrect or improper use of the the camper legs, awning or roof lift and poor site conditions resulting in damage to the camper.  If the Customer leaves the Goods open (windows, hatches and doors) allowing weather/water ingress, this will not be covered by warranty and the Customer should contact their insurer.  Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a third party without prior inspection and written consent of the Company for the remaining warranty.  There is no warranty for commercial use such as for commercial rental or hire.  The Company is not liable for any costs associated with or arisen from a warranty matter such as but not limited to accommodation, recovery, towing and transport.  No other Agent, Supplier, Reseller or Representative has the right to accept warranty claims on behalf of the Company.  If the Customer knowingly continues to use the faulty/defective Goods or part(s) which causes subsequent faults, the subsequent faults will not be covered.

Colours: Dark (graphite) campers are best suited for cool to moderate climates as dark colours absorb heat.  Light (white) coloured campers are suited for all conditions including cool, moderate and hot climates.  It is not recommended to purchase a dark camper for (i) extended touring in hot climates, (ii) without the OTG Cooling System and (iii) if you are not prepared to check, clean and replace fan/comparent ventilation filters when required.  We do not guarantee replacement of the electronics if they have failed due to exceeding the manufacturers recommended operating temperatures in extreme conditions – this may well be an insurable event and not a warranty claim.

Returns: Changing your mind on make, model, size, colour, wrongful selection or simply no longer need the Goods once ordered or received is not grounds for a refund.  See below on Australian Consumer Law (ACL).  Please ensure you are committed to the purchase and have selected carefully and that the Goods suit your needs and circumstances.

ACCC: In addition to our warranty, Customers are covered by ACL.  However, Customers/consumers may not always be entitled to a refund, replacement or repair if they change their mind and in other circumstances according to the ACCC.  The following extract is taken directly from their website:-
